Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about players, embedding, uploads, and processing.

01What are Widget Runtime Versions?

TruGuide has two runtime versions: V2 (legacy, embedding-based FAQ widgets) and V3 (current, title-based widgets with manifest search). V3 is recommended for all new widgets and offers improved search quality and performance.

02How do I add a TruGuide player to my website?

Add the TruGuide bootstrap script to your website, then place a div with your widget ID. The player supports custom width and height via data attributes. Default size is 400×600 pixels. Responsive sizing is also supported.

03What do the upload status indicators mean?

Uploads go through three stages: (1) Uploading — your file is being transferred with real-time percentage progress, (2) Processing — the system is indexing your content, and (3) Completed — your title is ready and searchable. You can navigate away during uploads; they continue in the background.

04Why don't I see my upload immediately?

Processing time depends on the length and quality of your media file. Longer or higher-quality files take more time to process. Please be patient and check back shortly.

05What content works best?

TruGuide works best with media that has clear, spoken words or unique text. If a video has very few words, the system may not index it effectively. For best results, use media files with distinct speech or submit text documents.

06How do I upload multiple files at once?

You can upload multiple titles simultaneously. Start one upload, then immediately begin another — each shows individual progress. Navigate anywhere while uploads continue in the background. Maximum file size is 5GB per file.
